John J. Driscoll

John J. Driscoll founded The Driscoll Firm, LLC, in October 2008. John is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Missouri, and Minnesota. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Southern District of Illinois, and the District of Minnesota.
After graduation from Loyola University of Chicago, John attended Saint Louis University School of Law. Before starting law school, he accepted an appointment to serve as the Jury Commissioner for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois (St. Clair County). Then with a wife and two young children, John selected petit and grand juries by day and attended law school at night. Upon his graduation, John began the practice of law as an Illinois Assistant Public Defender, trying countless misdemeanor and felony criminal cases to verdict. After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, he spent several years serving two Illinois Appellate Court Justices as an in-chambers law clerk before joining a St. Louis-area law firm, where he spent over five years developing and managing a growing pharmaceutical product liability litigation practice.

United States District Court for the Southern District of California appointed John and The Driscoll Firm, LLC as Plaintiffs' Co-Lead Counsel in In re: Morning Song Bird Food Litigation, No. 3:12-cv-01592-JAH-RBB, a significant consumer fraud and RICO class action.
On February 25, 2014
Superior Court of the State of California, County of Los Angeles, appointed John to serve as a member of the Plaintiff's Steering Committee in Judicial Council Coordinated Proceeding No. 4761, Lipitor Cases.
On April 21, 2015
District of Minnesota appointed John and The Driscoll Firm, LLC, to the Plaintiffs' Interim Executive Committee in MDL proceedings involving a data security breach class action, In Re: SuperValu, Inc., Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, No. 0:14-cv-03252-ADM-TNL.

The Honorable John Ross of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri appointed John and The Driscoll Firm, LLC as Co-Lead Plaintiff's Counsel, in In re: Ashley Madison Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, Case No. 4:15-md-2669-JAR.

Outside of litigation, John has often accepted invitations to speak to other practitioners at national conferences. Most recently, on March 30, 2016, he spoke at Harris Martin’s “MDL Conference: Pharmaceutical and Environmental Mass Tort Litigation” in Santa Barbara, California.
Two months earlier, on January 27, 2016, John spoke on emerging MDL litigations at Harris Martin’s “MDL Conference: Fantasy Sports, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Pharmaceutical Litigation” in Cape Coral, Florida.
One year earlier, in March, 2015, he spoke at Harris Martin’s “Data Breach Litigation Conference: The Coming of Age” in San Diego, California.
In June of 2008, he spoke at Mealey’s “Pharmaceutical Litigation SuperConference” on the application of state consumer fraud acts in pharmaceutical litigation.
In 2007, he served as a speaker for Mealey’s “Drug & Medical Device Litigation Conference.” The same year, he served as co-chair at a conference hosted by Harris Martin Publishing entitled “The Science and Law Behind Permax, Zelnorm, EPO-Anemia Drugs & Ongoing Drug Litigation Battles.”
Similarly, in 2006, he co-chaired a Harris Martin Publishing conference entitled “Pharmaceutical & Human Tissue Litigation Conference: An In-depth Look at Seroquel, Orth-Evra, Zyprexa & Human Tissue Transplant Litigation” in Charlestion, South Carolina.
